Risk and prevention strategies are discussed, and office-based treatments are often available as well. The most important first step is getting a comprehensive dilated eye examination. The examination and testing are usually covered by medical insurance (special vision insurance is not necessary). Chandler Eye Care Specialists accepts most insurances and there are usually immediate appointments available.
Immediate appointments are also available for eye emergencies and chronic eye conditions such as dry eye, blepharitis, and ocular allergy. Some examples of urgent eye emergencies include sudden loss of vision, eye pain, sudden onset of floaters and flashing lights, and ocular injury. Same day appointments are usually available for these types of problems.
